For our donors who would like to donate investments to our organization – you CAN! A nice gifting strategy that many people utilize is a donation of appreciated investments. This in turn allows for a possible charitable deduction to you in addition to being able to forgo large taxable gains of that holding! We have partnered with TD Ameritrade and will be happy to give you the transfer instructions to provide to your financial organization.

Attention KidneyTexas donors age 70.5+ !!

For those of you who don’t know,
you can donate your RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) from your IRATax-Free! Here are a few items to know about this gifting strategy in order to keep it
tax-free to you:

The distribution must come from the IRA directly to the charitable organization/institution (it cannot go to you first)
Limit is $105,000 per donor out of the IRA per calendar year
Generally, the donation must be made by December 31st of the year of your Required Minimum Distribution
